James A. Hazen Ph.D.

Jim Hazen's background includes external and internal consulting, needs assessment, creative program design and promoting behavioral change. He has extensive experience in individualized management development, customized training, program delivery executive assessment, career transition and change management.

Dr. Hazen has held consulting, administrative and teaching positions in public, private and university settings. He has had corporate experience at PPG, Porsche, Chrysler and Audi, as well as several hundred additional client companies during the past fifteen years.

Exemplary projects include:

  • Designed and directed a year long executive team building effort for 175 managers in a manufacturing setting.
  • Provided individualized training, 360° feedback and coaching approaches to executive development, leadership and stress management.
  • Led pre- and post-merger change management interventions in healthcare, banking, utility and retail settings.
  • Assessed through psychological testing, the managerial talent of 1600+ executives.
  • Managed and refined a program utilized by Chrysler, Audi, Porsche, and Volkswagen to train 6,000 dealership service advisors in customer service techniques.
  • Designed a selection and managerial assessment system utilized by a retail chain in three acquisitions totaling 500 stores.
  • Directed the outplacement of over 6,500 corporate managers and 12,000 employees from a variety of industries. Established transition centers for eight corporations.
  • Designed and delivered a six session supervisory training program for 200 mining supervisors in 18 sites.
  • Provided outsourced human resource support for 400 companies.
