
Robert L. Fayfich
For 22 years, Bob worked at Westinghouse starting in the marketing
and sales support function in Dallas , Texas and rising to the position
of Director of Internal Communication for the entire corporation. During
his Westinghouse career, he served as principal internal communication
counsel to four CEOs, two presidents and six business unit vice presidents;
directed worldwide external and internal communications for a $3 billion
business; and planned and led corporate-wide internal communication
efforts through 26 acquisitions and divestitures, four corporate restructurings
and three CEO successions. During this time Bob also served as national
chair of the Business-to-Business Marketing Committee of the Association
of National Advertisers and was a contributing author to four books.
In 1996 Bob left Westinghouse, became more involved in community
work and started a consulting business based on his passions for executive
coaching and communication planning.
In his executive coaching and communication
counseling business, Bob works with senior executives to clarify
issues, enhance behaviors and increase the effectiveness of communication
processes to improve both personal and organizational performance.
His clients include Sony, Alcoa, FedEx Ground, Siemens, Westinghouse,
PNC, UPMC, Washington Group International, Deloitte and Touche, Bristol-Myers
Squibb and Schering-Plough, as well as a dozen smaller companies
and nonprofit organizations including the Manchester Craftsmen’s
Guild and The Neighborhood Academy.
Bob is immediate past chair of the board of
the Conflict Resolution Center International, is vice-chair of the
Marshall Township Board of Supervisors, sits
as vice president on the Board of Trustees for Northland Public Library
and served two terms on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee
of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. He is chair of Western PA
Indoor Field Hockey and recipient of the United States Field Hockey
Association’s
Volunteer of the Year Award for 2004. He is
also a member of the World Affairs Council and Leadership Pittsburgh;
has taught at Carnegie Mellon University, the Geneva Leadership Institute,
the University of Pittsburgh and the University of St.Gallen in Switzerland;
and has served as a U.S. State Department People-to-People delegate
to Eastern Europe and Russia
Bob received his bachelor degrees from Waynesburg
College and has completed graduate work in law at the University of
Pittsburgh , finance at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School
and human resources at the University of Michigan Graduate School of
Business.
